디텍 주식회사는 극지연구소에서 남극 연구를 위해 건설한 세종과학기지에의 다목적 연구용으로 사용될 보트 개발에 착수하였으며 2018년 9월 건조완성하여 국내 시운전 및 테스트를 수행한 후,

12월 남극 세종과학기지에서 인도하였습니다. 본 다목적 연구용 선박은 선수 램프가 개페되는 특징을 가진 보트로서, 디텍 주식회사의 특화된 모델에 해당합니다. 또한 남극세종기지의 운용환경을 고려하여 그간 제작되었던 실적선에 비해 엄격한 과정을 거쳐 제작하였습니다.

DTEC has developed and built a multi-purpose research boats for the Korean Polar Research Institute at the Sejong Science Base in Antarctica. After the completion of the construction in September 2018, the trial operation and various tests were carried out in Korea, and it was delivered to the Antarctic Sejong Science Base in December for use.

The multi-purpose research boats has the characteristic that the bow ramp can be opened and closed, and it is a special boat type owned by DTEC. Taking into account the operating environment of the Sejong base in Antarctica, the cutting-edge core equipment is more rigorously screened than the usual conventional boats.
